BUBBLES
-
Mai Santito! La Staffa, Le Marche 15 | 60
Bone-dry and naturally sparkling, this fizzy, frothy sparkler from La Staffa is a refreshing start to any meal. An excellent example of how native local varieties (Verdicchio and Trebbiano) can make for fun, palate-pleasing and completely satisfying bubbles. Citrus pops on the nose, and the wine finishes stony, dry and refreshing.
-
Nerello Mascalese Brut Rosé, Murgo, Sicilia | 60
wild strawberry and pomegranate, lemon peel and volcanic terrior derived minerality.
-
Lambrusco Grasparossa, La Piana, Emilia-Romagna | 60
easy drinking cherry-cola fruit with classic dried rose petals and spice. the ultimate pizza wine!
VINO BIANCO + ROSE
-
Guarnaccia Masseria Falvo, Calabria 14 | 56
fresh, clean, lightly aromatic nose. a rejuvenating blend of lightly fruited spa water, and sea spray. Yep, sounds crazy, but there's a salinity to this wine that is fantastic. Light-bodied. Medium minus acidity. Not textured or oily at all. Perfect sea-side, summer wine.
-
Fiano Luigi Maffini, Campania | 64
Lean, mineral, and refreshing. Exotic and almost tropical fruits on the nose with kiwi-like brightness and acidity on the palate. This is an iconic and representative bottling of Fiano from a producer dedicated to native, local grapes.
-
Chenin Blanc Folk Machine, Clarksburg 13 | 52
Steely and lean, with beautifully pristine mineral and fresh tart apple acidity. Totally dry, so this makes a great wine to start off a meal, or equally well paired with vegetable dishes, fish, and even richer white sauce pastas!
-
Chardonnay, Sandhi, Central Coast | 55
bright and snappy chardonnay -- loads of apple + pear -- with a broad, satisfying finish
-
Montefalco Bianco, Tenuta Bellafonte, Umbria | 56
a well textured, but still fresh, mid-weight white wine. Doesn't have the oak punch that the Giacomo Mori Toscana Bianco had, but it's still palate-coating and very fulfilling.
-
Salina Malvasia Caravaglio, Sicilia 13 | 52
Bright straw yellow, it gives the nose fresh notes of peach, apple, white flowers and aromatic herbs, embellished with typical mineral sensations. A taste that rests on a savory spine and lengthens thanks to a pleasant freshness.
-
Contrada Villagrande Etna Bianco Superiore, Milo | 78
Crisp, dry and savory, this fantastic white grown on the slopes of the tallest volcano in the Mediterranean hits all the right buttons. It opens with delicate scents recalling pressed Spanish broom, graphite, wild herbs and stone fruit. Taking up where the nose left off, the linear, elegant palate features ripe yellow pear, wild fennel, lemon drop candy and saline set against bright acidity that gives it a juicy, tangy finish. Drink now, or hold until 2025 for even more complexity
-
Susumaniello Rosato I Pastini, Puglia | 54
It is one of several local heirloom grape varieties the Carparelli family is working to bring back to the mainstream after near abandonment. With its delicate floral nose, refreshingly crisp mouthfeel saturated with wild berry flavors, and lightly chalky finish, this wine is the ideal ambassador for the grape, the winery, and the entire region. I like a big glass served cold with a fresh tomato salad heaped with creamy burrata—a specialty of Puglia—plus any combination of shredded basil, salt-cured anchovies, and pitted black olives, depending on what is currently in the pantry.
-
"Arancino" Caruso e Minini, Sicilia 14 | 56
palate coating and refreshing with a pop of saltiness. Brilliant served ice-cold as an aperitif, but giving with plenty of character otherwise, making it an excellent accompaniment to range of cuisines.
VINO ROSSO
-
Schiava, Manincor, Alto Adige | 70
Bright soft-hued ruby. Delicately fruity on the nose reminiscent of cherry and toasted almonds, juicy on the palate, extremely “quaffable” and elegant on the finish.
-
"Day Dreaming" Tessier, Central Coast *chilled* | 70
juicy fruit, red jolly rancher, with vibrant and poppy aromatics. A red riding on the lighter side of life, Crunchy tannins make it oddly thirst quenching. Try serving it with a SLIGHT CHILL.
-
Lacrima di Morro d'Alba Colleleva, Marche | 56
pungent pop of rose petals and flowers, super inky. This is a low-acid, easy drinking wonderful pizza wine. Thoroughly medium-bodied, and will medium to medium minus tannins.
-
"Parts and Labor" Red Folk Machine, California 13 | 52
"A blend of Grenache from Mangels Ranch in Suisun Valley, Cedar Lane in Arroyo Seco, and Waddington Ranch in Mendocino, Carignane from Lolonis, Maria Martinson, and Castañon all in Mendocino, and Syrah from Vecino in Potter Valley. There is a good amount of whole cluster and carbonic maceration through the lots keeping everything fresh and fun." -- Hobo Wines
-
"Indica" Red LIOCO, Mendocino 16 | 64

-
Piedirosso Villa Dora, Campania | 60
full in the mouth, with a rich black plumy perfume that start in the nose and blooms in the palate. This wine is not shy with pronounced tannins that make the wine feel dry. But the ripe fruit, and pungent nose both help balance this out.
-
Cagnulari Parpinello, Sardegna 17 | 68
An amazing pizza wine! Rich concentrated red fruit on the palate. Punchy concentrated dried rose and cherry on the nose - almost like pomegranate syrup. All this packaged in a wine that's no bigger in body than medium+ with an easy-going and mild acidity. It's rich enough to stand up to big flavors, but it's lovely side-by-side tomato sauce dishes/pizza thanks to the mellow acid profile.
-
Etna Rosso Ciro Biondi, Sicilia | 86
"Deep dark plumy fruit -- nose is heady and bold, palate is full. Hallmark hint of rose petal lingers in the backdrop. Good, balanced acidity makes this a great osteria wine and easy pick for red wine lovers! For those unfamiliar with Nero d'Avola, it's great stand in for Southern French reds, Côtes du Rhône / GSMs and such."

Pinot Noir, Scribe, Carneros | 88
ALPINE STRAWBERRY * ALMOND BLOSSOM * CORIANDER We've been making this wine since 2007 – our first vintage. Its primary fruit source is nearly 30-year-old California heritage clone Pinot Noir (Martini) planted in the breezy, loamy heart of Carneros. We ferment with native yeast in steel and concrete – about 30% whole cluster – and age 7 months in neutral oak with minimal intervention. It’s a vibrant, fruit driven expression of Carneros and a favorite of early Scribe followers.
